With SOE's news of a new server in March, Numinous has decided to start recruiting and preparing to take this server on full force when it releases.   We've got a good core group of guild members already, but there is still room for a few more dedicated people who are up to the challenge.

Interested raiders please register and apply in our forum section so we can get a good idea of the numbers and classes we'll have on launch.

Numinous Guild Charter
Written by Jhahl

Herein are scribed the rules and bylaws by which the members of Numinous abide. These words have been written in the hopes of not only making Numinous a strong guild, and a worthy addition to the landscape of Norrath, but also to convey to other potential candidates and recruits the thought and drive behind the creation and existence of Numinous.

Thus it is written.

    * Guild Charter
    * Member Requirements
    * Application Process
    * Event Guidelines
    * Executive Council
    * Treasure Distribution (NRPs)
    * Epic Quests

Guild Charter:

Numinous exists to increase the enjoyment of its members. It is specifically structured to aid people with similar interests and playing styles to accomplish major goals within the game. The basic concept is to extend the familiar feeling of a nightly group into a guild-wide family. As such, Numinous will remain a small, tight-knit group of people. While we are interested in persuing end game content, we're not interested in becoming a guild about numbers as opposed to skill, nor a guild bound by administrative headaches.

Guild Membership requirements:

Members must have a primary character of a reasonable level range with the current standings of the server and the current guild members of Numinous.

Numinous is a group of very motivated players. Most gameplay time is spent between the hours of 5:00 PM Eastern to 2:00 AM Eastern, daily. Most events will be structured around this timeframe, so please take this into account when applying for membership.

Players are expected to have equipment available commensurate with their level

Players are expected to be experienced in working in single- and multi-group raid situations, and understand the implications of their actions in situations where even single errors can cause wipeouts and possible raid failure. All applying characters should have good aggro management skills.

Players are expected to understand the necessity of carefully following directions, maintaining concentration, and requisite behavior under these types of raid circumstances, and have a base level of familiarity with the events in question.

Players are expected to know their way around.

In addition to the above, it is recommended that your character be played on a 'fast' computer with a 'good and stable' connection

Players are responsible for the behavior and usage of their characters. Characters which behave in an objectionable manner can and will be summarily removed from the guild, regardless of who is playing them at the moment.

Note that Numinous will have a relatively strict set of rules by which members must abide; this is to prevent Numinous from becoming a guild filled with immature and/or loot-driven individuals. At all times, all members of Numinous are expected to conduct themselves in a mature fashion.

This means:

   1. No disruptive behavior, including:

         1. Flaming. In public channels (ooc/shout/auc/say, etc), on public boards, or in /guildspeak. If you can't resolve a             dispute, don't flame the person in public. This type of behavior only injures both party's reputation, and does not                 resolve the issue. If you feel you must flame, remove yourself from the guild before it starts, and save the officers the         effort.

         2. Kill-stealing/Camp-jumping/Ninja-looting/Scamming/other obnoxious behavior. This should be obvious, but bears         repeating.

   2. Respecting your guildmates, including:

         1. Using /guildspeak for appropriate communications:

               1. Minimizing price checks across guild channels.

               2. Responding to reasonable requests for information.

               3. Minimizing profanity.

         2. Handling disputes with even-handedness.

         3. Responding to guildmates' legitimate requests for help.

         4. Not pestering guildmates for powerlevelling services or extensive loot.

If you leave the guild/retire from the game for any reason and wish to rejoin, you must do the following:

    * Make peace with anyone who you may have offended during your leaving. (You will be revoted upon, and again, a               single no vote will bar your re-entry.)
    * Decide whether or not a gaming guild with high playtime requirements is right for you (i.e. revisit your commitment            level to the game)

Guild Application Process:

Numinous is currently recruiting. Please understand that we recruit solely by need for particular classes. We will not consider people above and beyond our ability to support raid-ready groups.

To begin the evaluation process, please read and understand the information on this page, and then get in contact with your favorite Numinous member. A Numinous member must sponsor your application. This member should know you very well, and be willing to vouch for your playing skills and personality. After securing the sponsor's approval, you may fill out the application.

Guild Events:

Numinous will be a very motivated group of people. The reason for existence is not only to level our members up, but also to achieve some of the larger goals in the game. As such, guild event attendance will be considered mandatory whenever the player is online, except under extraordinary conditions, and those raids where there is a minimum recommended level.

Official (plan-able) Guild Events may be announced on the board at least 2 days' prior to their occurrence. (The proliferation of 'targets of opportunity' make the planning of raids extremely difficult.) It is your duty as a member of Numinous to stay abreast of the events coming up. In addition, you will be expected to commit to events when they are posted. Not committing to at least one event per week (if they are available, and schedule permitting) is grounds for dismissal. This allows the event organizer to make sure that sufficient manpower and the right class distribution is available to achieve the event in question.

Executive Council:

Numinous is currently led by an Executive Council of members. These members are empowered to immediately act upon disruptive influences in the guild, and also charged with the responsibility of making sure that the guild's interests are represented.

The EC is also the primary contact point for Membership and Grievance issues.
